Welcome to Sydney Extinguishers Pty Ltd.

We kicked things off back in 2006, and we’re proud to now be celebrating 20 years in business here in Sydney. What started as a small operation has grown into a tight-knit team ready to help you and your business in all facets of fire safety and protection.

We all genuinely care about this industry and about the company we’ve built. We love working for ourselves, and we love looking after our customers properly. Over the years, we’ve proven that doing the right thing by people builds a strong, solid business – and that’s exactly what we’ve done.

We pride ourselves on fast, personalised service without the inflated price tag. Whether you’re dealing with Shaun, Sam, Mimmi or myself, we’ll do everything we can to make sure your fire maintenance is completed with as little fuss as possible.

We work in accordance with AS1851-2012 standards and use ServiceM8 to securely store your service records. All equipment is QR coded with onsite photos and documentation to ensure your site remains compliant and audit-ready.

Between us, we have over 50 years of combined experience in the fire industry and currently maintain more than 1,000 sites across Greater Sydney – and we’re continuing to grow.

We test, maintain and certify Annual Fire Safety Statements and Final Fire Safety Certificates for all types of fire equipment in homes, offices and factories throughout Sydney.

Adrian Bartlett

Leading the team is Adrian, who has been in the fire industry since he was 16 years old. He started out working alongside his father on the Central Coast, learning the trade from the ground up and building a solid understanding of both the technical and customer sides of the industry.

In 2004, Adrian moved to Sydney to further his education, completing studies in Business Management, Marketing and Fire Technology (Cert IV). After working with some of the larger fire companies, he saw a clear gap in the market – Sydney needed a smaller, specialised extinguisher company that delivered high standards without the big-company price tag or red tape.

That vision became Sydney Extinguishers.

Adrian has built the business around reliability, compliance, strong systems and genuine customer relationships. He also spearheaded the launch of extinguishers.com.au, expanding the business into the Australian online market and making quality fire equipment more accessible nationwide.

Adrian holds FPAA Fire Safety Assessor accreditation (FSA No. F042610A), reinforcing his commitment to industry standards, compliance and professionalism.

Shaun Petersen

Shaun’s a long time friend of Adrian from the Central Coast and passionate bodyboarder + photographer. Shaun has travelled the world chasing his dreams and now calls southern Sydney his home new wife Stacey.

When it comes to new installs, tagging and testing Shaun’s the man to speak too! Shaun has over 20 years experience in the fire industry. Shaun has completed the FPAA online course for technicians and has a wide understanding of all fire safety measures we test and certify.

Shaun had the same vision as the companies when he originally started in 2010. Shaun has worked as a warehouse manager, fire technician and sales rep (BDM). Shaun now calls the Sutherland Shire of Sydney home and recently got married.

All out technicians use ServiceM8 for QR coding and tracking all of your fire equipment onsite.

Shaun’s a CFSP trained by the FPAA. His FPAS number is IT42611.

Sam Bradley

Fire Electrical Technician extraordinaire. Sam originates from London, UK and had enough of working in the rain and now calls Eastern Suburbs Sydney home.

Sam’s electrical background, quick learning and knowledge helps us with the replacement of faulty smoke alarms, emergency & exit lighting + testing your fire equipment on a reguklar basis. Sam has a great sense of humour and gets along with everyone. When it comes to electrical repairs Sam’s the man to speak too! Sam has also completed the FPAA online course for technicians.

Sam recently got engaged and soon to be married. Sam is also Adrian’s Brother in law so Shaun loves giving him a hard time about that…

Mimmi Walhström

In Accounts, we have Mimmi. Mimmi originally from Sweden, now calls Australia home and became a permanent resident in early 2024. Mimmi has two young children and speaks multiple languages.

Mimmi has been with the company for 8+ years now and currently works afternoon’s between chasing her two young ones around the house.

Mimmi is a great asset to the team and helps make everyone’s life just that little easier!

Mimmi has a solid understanding or our software programs ServiceM8 and Xero.
